We are continuing to gain awareness and develop our understanding of the autism spectrum. There are, however, still many misconceptions around what it means to be an autistic person, and how they navigate the world around them.  Autism advocates are helping to change the conversation around autism and build awareness of the unique qualities and abilities that each autistic person has, and can develop throughout their lifetime.

Positive Partnerships Australia have created a Diversity Wheel. Rebecca Burgess a comic illustrator from the UK has created a comic strip with a cartoon character named Archie to better explain autism and to understand the autism spectrum.
