Faith Journey Begins for Our Sacramental Students

We’re excited to share that this year, eight students are preparing for three important sacraments in their faith journey: First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Eucharist.

On Sunday, 18th May, these students were warmly welcomed into our Mersey Leven parish community during a special Mass at our church. Surrounded by family, friends, and our school community, they took this meaningful step with great joy and reverence.

Next week, they will take part in their first sacrament, Reconciliation — a special moment of reflection, forgiveness, and spiritual growth. We ask you to keep these students in your thoughts and prayers as they continue along this important and faith-filled path.

We look forward to supporting them through each step of their journey.

Welcoming Fr Ashan

This term, we have the pleasure of welcoming Fr Ashan into our classrooms! Each fortnight, Fr Ashan visits a different class to spend time with our students, share stories, and help us deepen our understanding of our Catholic faith.

The children have really enjoyed having the opportunity to ask questions, listen to Fr Ashan’s insights, and learning more about the role of faith in our everyday lives. His visits have sparked wonderful discussions and brought a lovely sense of connection between our school and parish.

"Fr Ashan taught us about how you can become a Pope. It was very interesting, he taught us how and where the cardinals vote. All the cardinals vote, even if you wish to become the Pope. Fr Ashan was also nice enough to show us videos of him becoming a priest. We loved watching the footage. Thank you Fr Ashan!" Written by Torah and Ella.
