Friday, 7 June saw Sacred Heart send our cross country team to Stella Maris for the annual North West Combined Catholic Schools Cross Country carnival. We were blessed this year with perfect running conditions, and the team was excited and up for the race.

The course at Stella, although slightly shorter than our 2.2kms, is challenging and full of hills. The course proved to be a difficult prospect and required some of our athletes to come up with some well thought out race strategies.

As always, our team performed very well, taking out a first and many high placings. Our support for each other is an example to some of the other schools, and showcases the awesome team spirit we encourage here at SHS.

A big thanks to Miss Rowe and Mrs Bloom for their efforts throughout the day.

Well done to all the athletes that raced on the day.
